Submission Deadline: April 09, 2009
WOW what a great birthday week! It's one thing to come up with a theme and have you guys submit your designs, but it's another thing when I know you created your designs especially for ME. It makes me a very happy boy, I have to tell ya. ![]()
Because the submissions were so personal, it was extra tough to pick a winner. There were several I wanted to print! But this is ShirtFight, many fighters enter, but only ONE emerges victorious! And with that, I say congrats to Greg Abbott for his submission, the fittingly titled "El Presidente's Birthday!" The colors...the style...I love everything about this design!
But Greg Abbott isn't the only artist that deserves the spotlight, oh no sir! As usual, we'll give special props to our Top 10 Heavyweights of the week, and boy oh boy...we have some real contenders this time around!!! Stay tuned our post Friday!
Now that I've had 10 seconds to enjoy my birthday gift...it's time to have another contest!!! This week's theme is "Hidden (Subliminal) Messages". Sure, your design might seem innocent on the surface, but hidden beneath is a message, secretly brainwashing anyone that looks at your shirt! So here's a few ground rules for this contest:
To give you two examples of some outstanding use of Glow in the Dark, check out these designs by Olly Moss and Linty Fresh. For sure check them both out, they're great guys and have some amazing talent! Here's their Glow in the Dark designs:

So get designing! I want to be blown away by how you cleverly hide your messages! I'm SO EXCITED about this Shirt Fight! ![]()
A FRIENDLY REMINDER: Did you know that there are ShirtFighters out there who knew about my birthday FIVE DAYS AGO??? While you're patiently waiting for Thursday at midnight to see my handsome mug tell you what the theme is, all of the people who became our fans on Facebook or follow us on Twitter found out last Sunday morning! They've been working on smuggling secret messages into designs for almost a week now! Unfair advantage? You betcha! Even the playing field for next week by hooking up with us on Facebook or Twitter! We give this 5 day head start for EVERY Shirt Fight we do...that's right, EVERY week!
Ah that's a great question man...so the glow in the dark ink itself is actually kind of clear and won't be a visible part of your design unless you look at it with the lights off.
However, it does count toward the 8 color limit, so keep that in mind. And yes, we only carry the standard glow in the dark ink...clear in the light, eerie glow in the dark.
That make sense?
haha i guess yeah, so the glow is green when its dark, or just pure white glow
it's got a greenish tint, like your typical glow in the dark toys ![]()
alright thanks, el presidente
... also, congrats to greg abbott
So stoked Greg won, congratulations dude.
Love the glow in the dark idea, i'm such a sucker for glow in the dark.
This looks like it'll be a great ShirtFight!

Question... does the glow in the dark part of the design have to be a certain color because of the ink, or can it be any color i choose
