Jud (aka El Presidente)

About Jud (aka El Presidente)

Raised on comic books and Mad Magazine, Hungry-Man TV dinners, and Nintendo (up up down down left right left right B A start baby) I've always been the goofball kid that would do anything to stand out from the crowd and be the entertainer. From an early age I learned that I could kick myself in the head...and it's gone all downhill from there. Now 34 years later, I'm living off of British "gentlemen's magazines", microwaveable White Castles, and World of Warcraft...and I learned how to put a cigarette out on my tongue to impress people at bars.

Not a whole heck of a lot has changed.

I started ShirtFight with my wife "Miss Etti" because t-shirts have always been a major part of my life. I remember my Hulk Hogan and Batman shirts as a kid and my Nirvana and Ween shirts in high school. Then in college I started making my own shirts. My first ones were simple...I just took a black marker and wrote silly stuff like "Hi I am Jud" on plain white tees. Then I found iron-on letters (which required buying an iron) and dove right into making "(555) 333-1212 Ask for the Pimp Daddy" shirts (with my real phone number of course!) I loved knowing that I created something that made other people take notice of me and laugh. ShirtFight will be like that, where we all get together and show off our creativity and quirkiness, hoping the world will take notice of the kick ass ideas and designs you guys come up with.

So what are my goals, what do I personally want out of ShirtFight and life in general? Well, I want to form a strong community of friends and fans here at ShirtFight...I want to rub elbows and shoot the shit with the top artists out there, I want to help up-and-coming artists become the new hotness. I want to launch careers, clothe people in awesome t-shirts, and keep the creative juices flowing every day. And maybe along the way I'll get that moustache tattoo I always wanted.

About Marieta (aka Miss Etti)

You know what they say "opposites attract" and it's absoluty true about me and the El Presidente. I Grew up all of my life with sports...won my first skiing tournament at 5, became a tennis champ at 9, and even kicked Anna Kornikova's you know what at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy! I was never your traditional sporty chick and all my friends are from all walks of life: modeling, photography, acting, theater, art shows were all parts of our lives. Fashion has always been an avenue for creativity and inspiration for me.

I would love to see ShirtFight become a community where it's a fun, hip, and trendy environment for everyone to freely express themselves. Feed all my fashion-forward fashionista ladies the need for new and unique clothing. You know who you are!!! We can even take it as far as having a fashion show if you wish... Picture an art gallery meets walking canvases where your name would reach out to anyone you want. Ok, ok one can dream right? At the end of the day if we all create a friendly competition place, help one another to grow as an artist, and get your name out there for the world to get to know your talents... Then my dream has come true. I guess by now you've gotten to know us a little better...I can't wait to get to know you! Let's get started on this crazy journey together. Good Luck on all your Shirt Fights, let the best man/woman win!!!
